Setup:
- Shuffle the 36 illustrated cards and place them face-up in the centre of the table.
- Spread the 12 category cards around the cards, making sure that each one is visible to all players.
How to Play:
- Turn-taking: On each player’s turn, they select one illustrated card from the centre of the table.
-
Matching: The player will then try to match the selected card to one of the category cards based on the association it represents. For example:
- If the card has a picture of a cat, it might belong to a category like “Animals” or “Pets.”
- If the card shows a red apple, it might belong to a category like “Fruit” or “Red objects.”
- Correct Match: If the player matches the card correctly with a category, they keep that card and it’s now part of their collection.
- Incorrect Match: If the match is wrong, the card is placed back in the centre, and the next player takes their turn.
🏆Winning:
The player who collects the most cards at the end of the game wins.
Alternative Rule (for younger players):
For younger children, you can simplify the game by just matching two cards with no competition, helping them learn categories and associations in a relaxed way.
This game encourages kids to think critically and learn about the world around them while having fun!
