Djeco, a French toy company known for its innovative and artistic toys, games, and decor, was founded in 1954 by Véronique Michel-Dalès. Véronique, a mother and entrepreneur, started the company with the goal of creating educational and engaging toys for children. Initially, Djeco focused on creating wooden toys and traditional games, emphasizing quality and creativity.

In the 1980s, Véronique's son, Frédéric Michel-Dalès, joined the company and expanded its product range and market reach. He introduced more creative and artistically designed toys, incorporating contributions from various artists and designers. This shift helped Djeco gain international recognition for its unique and aesthetically pleasing products.
